The Aku Lodge Restaurant

The twenty-nine seat Aku Restaurant is open all day from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between, both as sit-down meals and as room service (a K3 fee applies). The menu is varied -- full of tasty choices at economical prices.

You might like to start the day with Aku's full breakfast of lamb cutlets, saveloys, bacon, two fried eggs, baked beans and toast with butter and jam for K30, plus tea or coffee at K2.50. There are egg and other dishes for K20, and cereal or a sandwich for a modest K10.

The "All Day Menu" -- lunch and dinner -- starts with the soup of the day with garlic bread for just K10, and offers main courses ranging up through a beef burger, casseroles and curries with prices of K19 to K25, to grilled fish, steak, pork chop, and chicken in the K30-K40 range.

A choice of seven pizzas is priced at K40 for medium and K50 for large.

The restaurant is open to the public, and Lodge guests are very welcome to invite their Moresby friends, family, or associates to join them for a meal.

In line with Aku Lodge policy, no alcohol is served or permitted in the restaurant; a variety of soft drinks and tea and coffee are served.
